Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance

This is a full-time onsite role ideal for a mechanical engineering professional who is passionate about plant reliability, preventive maintenance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth factory operations by managing mechanical systems, utilities, and maintenance activities. Candidates must be willing to commit to a long-term position in Chattogram and contribute to the overall productivity of the plant.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution

• Age between 25 to 45 years

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, plant utilities, and project execution

• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems

• Expertise in managing utilities including Generators, Boilers, Compressors, and power distribution

• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills

• Ability to develop SOPs and maintain operational records

• Monitor and supervise all mechanical activities related to plant maintenance and projects

• Assist in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance systems

• Maximize plant reliability while reducing downtime and mean time between breakdowns (MTBB)

• Support management in project evaluation, planning, and execution within target time and budget

• Handle purchase of all maintenance-related parts and equipment

• Maintain liaison with various functional teams to achieve production targets

• Develop and implement SOPs for smooth factory operations and coordinate with other departments

• Manage machine maintenance and job planning

• Provide technical support for mechanical utilities including electric power distribution, Generators, Boilers, and Compressors

• Manage operations, identify spares requirements, train staff, and maintain operational records and costs

• Perform any other jobs assigned by the management
